DDoS protection pricingClean bandwidth billing
Clean bandwidth is the traffic that survives scrubbing and is delivered to your origin. Attack volume is not clean bandwidth.
You are billed for what we forward.
We do not charge a flat fee that ignores attack size. We do not charge for garbage that dies at the edge. The invoice tracks clean delivered bandwidth.
We sample the clean rate through the billing period. The highest 5 percent of samples are discarded. The next highest sample is the 95th percentile. Short spikes do not set the month. A sustained clean peak does.
Twenty samples, one period
Red-tinted bars are discarded peaks. The accent bar is the 95th percentile in this sketch. This is the mechanic, not your quote.
What we need to price it
There is no public rate card. The number depends on clean Mbps and how you connect. Worked examples are in DDoS protection pricing explained.
- 1Use case. Game network, host, API, or something else on the receiving end.
- 2Peak clean Mbps. What you expect at the origin after scrubbing, not the attack.
- 3Handoff. GRE or Cross-Connect.
- 4Name and email. So the quote reaches a person.
- 5Notes. Prefixes, ports, where the origin lives. Optional, useful.
If those five inputs are ready, send the quote form. We reply with a number.
