Templass FAQ

What does Templass actually do?

Traffic aimed at your service lands on our IPs first. We drop attack traffic. Clean packets go to your origin. Your uplink is not the filter.

Where do you scrub?

Frankfurt (Equinix FR5) is the default on every plan. Custom scrubbing locations are available on request. Email support with your topology and we will tell you what is possible.

How do I connect my origin?

GRE tunnel for most setups. Cross-connect if you are in the same facility or we have a private path to you. We send tunnel details after you pick a plan.

GRE vs Cross-Connect?

GRE is a tunnel over the internet to your current host. A cross-connect is a private link. Same filter in front. Different last hop.

Do I have to move my server?

No. Keep your host. Point players at our IP. Bind the service to the tunnel and close the old public ports so people stop hitting the raw address.

What is clean bandwidth?

The traffic that survives filtering and reaches you. Attack volume does not count against the plan. Only the good packets do.

Why 95th percentile?

We measure clean usage the way transit networks do. Your top 5% of samples in the month are ignored. The rest sets the number. Over that, overages apply.

What do overages cost?

€0.50 per Mbps of clean traffic above your plan.

Are features different on Essential, Standard, and Premium?

No. Bandwidth is what changes. Same scrubbing center, same tunnel options, same filtering stack, same support. Custom is for hosts who need more Mbps.

Will this work for Minecraft?

Yes. Java and Bedrock. Proxies, networks, and single nodes. Tell us the ports when you order. Essential is sized for about 150 to 200 concurrent players.

What about other games?

If it speaks TCP or UDP, we can put it behind the filter. FiveM, Rust, CS2, voice, custom stacks. Same product, not a separate game SKU.

Do you protect websites?

No. Layer 7 filtering is for game protocols and the TCP/UDP services around them. We do not offer HTTP or HTTPS website protection.

How much latency does this add?

Frankfurt is the default because many EU players and origins are nearby. A tunnel back to a distant box adds that RTT. If your players sit elsewhere, ask about a custom scrubbing location.

How long does setup take?

Account, plan, tunnel keys, then DNS or IP cutover. Quiet onboarding is usually same day. If you are under attack, say so in Discord and we jump the queue.

I am under attack right now. What do I do?

Use Under Attack? in the header or go to the contact form with urgent mode. Discord first if you need a human now. Have your origin IP, ports, and current host ready.

How much mitigation capacity?

1 Tbps class mitigation on the shared filter. If you need a dedicated pipe or more clean bandwidth, use Custom Quote.

Who answers support?

Humans. Discord is the fast channel. [email protected] if you cannot use Discord.

How do I start?

Register on the Panel, pick a plan, we send tunnel details. If you already have an account, billing lives under dashboard/billing.

Can I hide my origin IP?

Yes, if you stop publishing it. Close the old ports on the public NIC. Bind the game to the tunnel. Otherwise people keep hitting the raw address.

Multiple nodes or a whole host network?

Standard and Premium exist for that. One plan can cover more than one node if clean bandwidth holds. Big host platforms should ask for a custom quote.

Which ports and protocols?

Any we agree on. You are not limited to 25565. After the tunnel is up, ports and rate limits are managed in the Panel.

Is protection always on?

Yes. Always-on. There is no switch you flip after the server is already dead.

Where do I manage the service?

The Panel. Billing, firewall, rate limits, ports, and attack telemetry.

Who should not buy this?

Anyone who only wants a cheap proxy with no tunnel. Anyone who will not hide the origin IP after cutover.
